CTA Status Removal from Types - Issue

We have a use case where we want to remove certain Closed Statuses from certain CTA types but cannot. The issue is that a status that is the default close status on a DIFFERENT type blocks you from removing that status on other types. 

Specific Use Case

• Status = ‘Completed’ is the default close status for all CTA types
• I create a new CTA Type called Ads
• The default Closed Status for this type is ‘Closed Not Applicable’
• I am unable to remove ‘Completed’ as a status on this new CTA type because it is the default closed status on all other types, not this one. 

Im being told by support that this is intentional, but I don’t really understand any real world use case for this.
