Currency Field Type in Timeline Activity Field Options

We are looking at using Timeline to allow CSMs to capture revenue forecast figures. Currently Currency is not a field type that is available. This would need to be a Currency field so that it could be summed in reporting.

I haven't! When purchased, is this something that is in the Administration tab? I'm trying to look for more information but don't see anything on the support page about the feature.

Hi Kaycee, it's a brand new feature that we just released this month, this week in fact! We're still working to get the documentation online. If you chat with your Gainsight customer account manager they can answer any questions you have and even show you a demo!

Four years later and Currency is still not an available data type on Activity Timeline object:

This is probably worth a post in and of itself, but why is not every data type available on every object? @pgeorge could you shed some light on why it is this way?
