Data Anomalies Email: Allow Inputting Email

I don’t know if we’re on some old janky version of Data Steward/Data Anomolies Emails, but it appears that you can only select a limited number of users to send the alerts to (presumably just super admins).

I can type in an email and save but then when I go back it’s to the last user I selected.

This 5 year old post suggests creating a DL 

which is great but unless the DL is a user that doesn’t help me. 

 

I want to be able to send these to a slack channel with the rest of my failure alerts, and right now I cannot do that.

which is great but unless the Distribution List is a user that doesn’t help me. 

I want to be able to send these to a slack channel with the rest of my failure alerts, and right now I cannot do that.

We’ve been running into these issues as well with failure notifications. Only sending notifications to the user who created something doesn’t help if that user leaves the organization.

Being able to add a custom email address to the alert emails would solve that problem.

So apparently what I was getting was part of the SFDC only flavor of Gainsight, and for some reason was just migrated over. Haven’t messed with the NXT version but if there is a similar feature it better be able to do this
