Within Data Management currently, we have the ability to check field dependencies & identify where a specific field (i.e. ARR on Company) is in use. While valuable, there are instances where having field value dependency tracking would be valuable - especially in larger or more complex instances - for seeing where a specific value is being used as a filter. Unfortunately, this is not currently available in the UI and requires a custom request to the Data Operations team to accomplish.
An example use case: When going through resegmentation efforts on the Salesforce side, we need to ensure that a Segment/Region field is updated with new values and remapped. These fields are used in numerous assets (100+ reports, dozens of rules, etc.) but the specific values that are being updated may not be used as filters in them. Without having this next level drill down, it leads to manual admin work to dig through each asset and identify if it needs revisions.
Would love to see this addressed in a future release to improve scalability & ease of managing these sorts of changes.
