Default User to Send From

Hi All,

We only have our CSM’s covering a portion of our customer base however we have been requested to send emails via JO to accounts that do not have a resource assigned.

This has caused us some pain due to the fact that we don’t have the ability to send via the CSM if it is present or send as a generic user if it is not present.

We would like to have more flexibility with this similar to a default value in an email template.

Our workaround for this is to create multiple journey’s...but definitely more work on us.

@cnichols Thanks for posting. I understand the use-case. I think having the ability to add different From recipients for different email versions might help here. You can then push accounts with CSMs to one version and account without CSMs to the other version. Added to the roadmap.

A workaround for now is to have formula fields that populate Sender Name, Sender From Email, Sender Reply-to Email.

So if CSM is blank, then Default Sender Value. If CSM is not blank, then CSM Sender.

Thanks @kelly  and @nitisha_rathi  - I’ll give the formula field a try and/or versions a try to see if that solves my problem here.

Thanks for the help!
