Don't show GS Webinar Invite banners to end-users

While impersonating our end users I learned that they are seeing a banner inviting them into a Gainsight Release webinar. This webinar seems to be admin focused, but ironically I am the one who is not getting this banner. Please consider the fact that an average CSM is already fatigued by the amount of announcements and new processes that they need to read and learn. Then they get this communication about new releases that could be confused as if coming from our internal team, but what’s inside is actually of very little relevance to them.

If this is actually useful for some clients then this could be a tenant-wide “opt-out” checkmark, but please make it stop.

      TIL and I agree (I don’t remember seeing an engagement for that webinar either).

      Enablement looks very different for each tenant, and IMO, these engagements should be targeted for Super Amins only.

        We do not want release information, be it a webinar or release notes to be shown to end-users as it otherwise creates frustration when we say not now to someone who requests a feature without a plan. We all have roadmaps and this is causing distraction. 

        On top of that, a tenant where all features are turned on isn't necessarily a healthy tenant, hence approaching end-users so admins are pressured to turn things on isn't helping anyone, Gainsight included. 

        Ideally, we’d also want webinars that are Europe friendly but that’s another topic. Most of Europe is in CET (not BST/GMT). 

        The most expensive part of building is the mistakes. That's true in construction. Not so much in CSOps. So ask questions, make mistakes and learn. All views expressed here are my own.

          Alizée articulated perfectly what I meant by "Enablement looks very different for each tenant." This isn't just about prioritizing features aligned with our internal roadmap, but also knowing which ones to hold back on (eg: security concerns related to Spaces) while managing internal expectations.

          Enablement isn't simply about toggling a feature on; it involves thorough testing, identifying potential issues and gaps, preparing internal documentation, properly training our users... just to name a few.
