Eliminate Discrepancy in Renewal Date Widget

I just realized today that there is a discrepancy in the Renewal Date widget in the C360 vs. just bringing in the Renewal Date field itself from the Company object. The widget shows a format of Mar 29, 2024 and shows the number of days either past renewal or from renewal, but admins cannot set this widget as editable. If we want to make Renewal Date editable, we have to select it from the Company object, which means we lose the formatting of the widget - i.e. just 3/29/2024 and no small text that shows the days out from renewal. 

Why the difference in behavior here? Here’s a screenshot showing the difference.
