Enable Automatic Milestone Configuration for All Data Types

Currently, Gainsight only supports the configuration of Automatic Milestones for the following Company data types:

  • Lookup
  • Currency
  • Picklist
  • Number 

As a result, it is not possible to configure Automatic Milestones for any other data type. As high-value data is not always limited to lookup, currency, picklist, or number data types, and because automatic milestones add significant value for both internal and external users, it would be helpful to enable the creation of Automatic Milestones for all data types.

    Sigh...I just ran into this myself. We wanted to create an automatic milestone for a boolean type. Why would all data types not be considered when this feature was developed?

    In addition, the support documentation on Custom Automatic Milestone gives no indication of this being a limitation. I needed to create a support ticket to learn from them that this was an existing limitation, despite trying to find these details myself first.

     

    I also want to call out that the support documentation also outlines a “Renewal Updates” automatic milestone type, and again, gives no indication that Renewal Center is required in order to utilize this milestone type. 

     

    Please update the documentation, AND expand this feature to work for all data types!

      Apparently I voted for this a while ago. Really disappointing to see that in 2 years only the documentation has been updated. Came here with the same use case as ​@sarahmiracle and now I’ll need to spend time contriving some workaround.

      ​@revathimenon can we have someone look at this?

       

      I’m sure this is being laughed out of PM discussions because “AI will solve it”, but until AI can read the minds of leadership to determine what will flip the switch to generate this milestone we’re all out of luck.
