Background: When using the Success Snapshot to display a report of Customer Goals, it cannot limit the Goals to only those associated with the Success Plan. Other filters can be added to the report, and there are a couple workarounds that almost solve the issue but not fully. There is not currently a solid and simple way to showcase only the Goals associated to the Success Plan for a Snapshot export. This is true even when using a ‘Customer Goals Association’ object report.

Request: Add Customer Goals association to the short list of items which Success Snapshot can limit by.

This idea has already been posted in Community, but that one was marked ‘Solved’. Please note that status is inaccurate though. Gainsight Support has confirmed this does not currently work as outlined here, and would be an enhancement. Here is the previous topic with same request/idea:

One workaround (this does not sufficiently solve the issue, but is an idea that has been discussed): Success Snapshot can filter report/table results based on fields in Customer Goals. A field for ‘SP GSID’ can be added to the Goal layout, and that field can be updated via a rule with the Associated SP GSID. Then, the report can be filtered by that field in the Success Snapshot Builder. However, for any new Goals, there will always be a delay in updating that field since Goals is not currently compatible with Real-Time Rules. This means if a user adds a Goal and then exports immediately (common behavior), that Goal will not be on the Snapshot. Unfortunately because of the delay and the common user behavior, this is not an acceptable workaround in most use cases.
