Events Promotion Widget

Here’s an idea for an enhancement to the events widget - instead of loading 1 to n number of event links, just return the very next one, but also include the corresponding image associated to it in a banner format.  We’re aware that we can create a banner widget, but that is an additional manual task where this could effectively be automated based on our events updates.  

Optionally, (and feel free to include this as a second idea) please consider providing the option to deliver all these widgets as JSON for us to load and package via an HTML widget.  That would be really helpful as well for companies that want more granular control over their content. Thank you!
