Events widget: filtering otpions

We have custom event types that are dedicated to specific audiences, it would thus be cool to be able to filter the Events widget by event types, so that only a selection of events show in the widget. Then we would use the visibility setting to show this widget to the specific user segment. 

Right now our work around is to use the featured topics widget and to manually select the events we’d like to display, but it would be really nice is this automated through filters.
