We're using the automation rule to close topic after a certain amount of days (we use 185 days, 6 months). This works nicely, most of the time 🙂

Topics created by moderators/admins and superusers are excluded from this auto close function, which is nice. But other users can also create usefull topics we want to keep open if there was no activity for 6 months. Currenty there is no option to exclude topics from others, so we have to reopen it manually.

It would be nice to exclude topics from the auto close function when they have been reopend - or have a list where we can add topics we don't want to close that way. The first option would be the most ideal, but the second option works aswel.

I will take a look and make a determination! This is a great idea, I just need to think through if it makes more sense to do a blanket configuration for roles to ensure their topics aren’t auto-locked OR to have a list of topics you can manually add. My gut feeling is to add an option for you to decide which roles are excluded from that automation rule as it is less common for super users and moderators to create new topics. It also would be more work / maintenance for you to manage a list of individual topics that are excluded. Let me know what you think here!

Good to hear!

Being able to exclude based on user role is already such a step forward. We can then easily exclude our not-quite-superusers from auto-close.

But, I would additionally also like a exclusion list for individual topics. As, sometimes, we want to keep a topic from a regular user, without a specific role, open.

Heard @Erik_! I’ll review with our design / UX too and get feedback here if we have any heated debates :)
