It would be great if there was ongoing enhancement to the supported media types for embedding into Community articles, product updates, etc. Based on this article, it doesn’t appear that there have been many additions in the last few years, and I’m sure new sites created regularly that need to be reviewed and added to the supported list.
Today, I’m looking for the ability to embed a demo from tourial.com and a document from highspot.com

I’d also like to be able to embed any video file in an Article. We use Google Buckets to store images and videos, but the editor does not support embedding directly from a bucket (within an Article).

The way we work with embeds is through embed.ly - any app that emded.ly supports can ultimately be supported by us as well.
I see you mentioned tourial.com and highspot.com which don’t seem to be supported.
We will keep this idea open for voting and make a more educated decision about this suggestion in the future.
Sharepoint videos would be a good addition!

As per my message above, as of now, we can only support new apps if they are listed here - https://embed.ly/providers - and it seems like Sharepoint is not a supported app by Embed.ly.
We would need Sharepoint to be supported so that we can then enable it on our end. Unfortunately, we do not control the part of it being listed at embed.ly.
