Export Moderator Tags for Ideas

Thanks for sharing this idea @Ilan B, clear feedback. I’m curious to know: what will you use the export for, if we were to make moderator tags available? E.g. is there some workflow/process going on?

We have a system in place that when an idea is submitted, it is reviewed and moved from “New” to “Acknowledged”.

During that reviewal process, a member of our team will check if the idea is relevant and if so, add public and moderator tags that match our product team’s initiatives. We have a Zapier automation set-up, that sends a slack message to a relevant slack channel informing the product team about the new idea.

If we want to do any analysis or exporting, at the moment, it's impossible. We can use the public tags, but they are editable by our users, so they might not necessarily match our tagging rules.

The process makes sense @Ilan B and I really like the sound of the system :)! So would the analysis/exporting revolve around ‘team X has delivered n votes’ or ‘team Z has n open votes’?

Would you also consider using product areas? Or do you have a separate structure for team initiatives and the product areas that face your customers?

We could use moderator tag analysis for a number of reasons. From as simple as reporting at the end of a quarter how many ideas per initiative have been addressed/reviewed/implemented or a deeper analysis of breaking-down weighted votes by ARR (as we compare through Salesforce) each team has resolved etc.

Theoretically, we could use product areas. We haven’t really utilized Product Areas just yet, but if we do, I feel it would be more for customer facing, while the moderator tags are more for internal purposes. Additionally, (to the best of my knowledge), there’s no integration (at least with Zapier) available, that we could create some sort of automation.

Just following up to see if there is any movement here? It’s a bit weird a field that’s available on the backend of the platform is not exportable. 

It’s been leading to some inconsistencies with our data.
