Hello @lisa.huang, thank you for your idea. Noted about the Vidyard embed.

About having a video upload, what is the use case behind this request? I would love to get a better understanding.

Definitely. It’s unrealistic to expect that all videos we want to share on the Community will always be uploaded elsewhere, especially when gifs are not enabled on Insided (I would add that as a feature request too!)

From a product standpoint, sometimes a video can be as simple as a recording/gif of a couple of clicks on an app to demonstrate a workflow, which doesn’t warrant the extra work to upload it to a media platform like youtube, unlist it, and then upload it on InSided.

If choosing between Gifs and direct uploaded videos, I would choose a direct upload video, since Gifs are not accessible.

@Marion Frecaut I wanted to add support to this idea and share that a good use case is on-demand content for customers only. After company conferences or events, pointing customers to the community to view on-demand content can drive traffic for the community (rather than pointing them to Hopin, Zoom, website landing pages, etc).

If we can upload the videos to inSided, they videos won’t be discoverable elsewhere (like Youtube, vimeo, vidyard).

We'd also like to see video upload. And ideally in such a way that we can decide which user roles have acess to it.

Our use case for it is the sharing of (short) internal video's to our Superusers in their private board. The uploading of these video's to a third party video site is not always preferred or even allowed.
