Extend Federated Search Content into the Embeddable Widget

I’m currently looking for an outside tool that would do this, but I’d love for Insided to offer it. We need a federated search with our docs site.

I too think this would make the embeddable widget a much powerful search integration. My requirement too is similar to @Kgastaldo to extend the federated search to our docs site. 

It feels like the lack of federated search in the embeddable widget means a strong inconsistency between the tools. I do hope we get this update soon! Upvoted!

Our use case also includes surfacing documentation, LMS content, and developer docs alongside community topics. Would love to see the embeddable widget support federated search content soon! 

This is a necessity. Since search is the main use of embeddable widgets, the lack of federated search really reduces the value of this. It also makes it harder to get a widget added to other user interfaces when a Community is new. Adding the widget to other user interfaces is a great tool for promoting the Community. But if this widget adds no value to the user interface (as would be the perception for a new Community with few posts), this will not be accepted. Add federated search and there is immediate value.

We are using the embedded widget as help for end users, it’d be awesome if it’d be possible to integrate the widgets search with our documentation portal. 

Although new ChatGPT-like powered chatbots are able to do pretty amazing things nowadays.
