File attachments in Timeline view

Hi,

Attachments will be available in C360, R360, CTA and widgets timeline. Are you referring to some other 360 section?

Attachments added via rules engine is still under discussion. Could you share with us your use-case, this will help us design it better.

Now that attachments are available in the Timeline...yay! 🙂 - We have all of our activities synced to SF activities.  If we add an attachment to an activity in Timeline, should I expect to see the attachment in the synced SF activity as well?

Not yet. We plan to add a configuration to choose if the customer wants to sync attachments to SF activity or not. This config will be available soon.

Any updates on this?  We've recently rolled out Timeline inside the CTA for our teams and would love for them to be able to add attachments there to sync to SF.

Attachments can be uploaded to Activities, but they do not sync to SFDC. This enhancement is under consideration but will not be implemented before July at the earliest.

is there a plan to add mail attachments to timeline entries?

Hi Ariela,

We are currently running a beta program for our new Email to Timeline feature, which allows users to send their customer email communications to Timeline. Attachments on the emails will be stored in the Timeline activity up to 20 MB.

The new feature will be released broadly in the next few months.
