Gainsight Assist for Chrome extension: Empty Email Template Folders Display

Hello!

We have many Email Template Folders but most are not applicable to Gainsight Assist and are not necessary to display to users in Gmail.

My Idea for an improvement would be to Hide (and not display) a folder if there are no available templates within it.

This would save screen space for users by not showing them a list of many irrelevant folders. Also they have a tendency to ‘hunt’ around and click on these ‘empty’ folders. Displaying only relevant folders, with actual usable templates would save users time and clicks.

 

Also, (cramming another idea in here) would it be possible to have the plugin match the Theme of a Gmail inbox as set in the settings? Right now this plugin always displays as a white bar, with an additional white header bar, even if the Gmail Theme is set to a different color.

    Really like this idea, @benwanlessmenlo.

    Sure helps focus CSMs and other Email Assist users toward their immediate task with maximum efficiency.

    In your spirit of cramming in more ideas, I’d even like to see permissions on the folders as to whether they appear or not. The questions generated by my folder named “TOP SECRET” are fun! OK, I’m exaggerating, but I do use folders to quarantine templates that are under construction or development. Users truly do get distracted and then ask if they should be looking in there. Even though I can take the template out of view, I can’t take the folder out of view, and that would be a great enhancement.

    Making people their best....currently disguised as a CS Ops Architect. How can I contribute to your success?

      @matthew_lind  Yes! I think folder permissions are the next logical progression here and would be immensely helpful

      Especially with multiple teams and various Templates.
