Hello there.

It would be great to see the option to generate Badges and Rank reports so that we could keep track of forum activity.

By observing these report types, we could tailor user advancement to the relative behaviour of the community by setting the bars for achieving goals higher or lower (depending on activity levels).

Thank you ☺️

@Yoeri Is this idea being explored?

I’d find it useful to reporting on badges and ranks. Something simple I was trying to do was look up how many badges have been earned by our customers in a custom range.

This could be a column in USERS where we can sort by badges earned in the bottom table. I could also see this as a chart and table in ENGAGEMENT. At the least, it would be helpful to be able to export badge and rank data organized by user.

@security_lion

I want to better understand your suggestion so that I can explore it with the team responsible for reporting.

You are looking for aggregated numbers on a period for all users or a breakdown per user like we have the user dashboard in the top user table?
A couple of follow up questions:

  • How would this information on badges differ or provide different insights from the top user table?
  • You mention exporting this data. Would this data be used for further reporting, or in a different tool to engage with those users?

Hi @Alex Campos !

  • How would this information on badges differ or provide different insights from the top user table? When I go to TOP USERS in USERS dashboard, I see posts, topics, replies, likes, answers, and points. This doesn’t provide me with information on the amount of badges or ranks which have been awarded to the users.
  • You mention exporting this data. Would this data be used for further reporting, or in a different tool to engage with those users? Since the data I am looking to aggregate isn’t on a dashboard, I could manipulate the data on a spreadsheet at the least. Ideally inSided would have the Analytics on this especially since gamification is such a strong component of the platform.

Say you are using the community for customer success (i.e. education, enablement, etc.) and you have badges associated with customer success. Wouldn’t you want to know how many users have earned a badge for a specific product or for a certification? What if you wanted to see which users have earned a speaker badge because you are planning a conference?
You might also need to present to executives on gamification. How do you pull up how many badges have been awarded on your community? Are certain badges being earned more than others? Why and can that data be used to create additional education?

Just an example, hopefully that helps!

+1 to all of @security_lion ‘s usecases.

@Alex Campos, it’d be really handy to see ‘who’ has each of the badges since Insided is already showing me the number of awardees against each; would be really helpful to break down by user ‘Role’ etc.
