Gantt chart tasks order

When on the Gantt Chart for a Success Plan, tasks from an Objective are randomly ranked independently of their initial ranking, independently of the timeline logic we built.

Can you improve this vizualisation ? Is it already planned ?

Thanks

Thank you for sharing the feedback. We have plans to improve sorting in Gantt chart view. Does it work it by default, tasks are ordered as per their start date so that user finds the task which starts first on top. Or would you prefer Gantt chart following the same order for tasks as seen in objectives tab.

@Anil Raj Pujari I agree that tasks should be order by their start date of course.

My point concernes tasks from an objective that have the same start date and due date. In this case they are randomly ranked and it would be better to have them sorted by how we did set them up in the template (because there, they are in the right ranking)

Thanks !

Thank you for the feedback. Sorting tasks with same start date by playbook order makes sense. We have plans to improve sorting on Gantt chart

Upvoting this idea. A Gantt Chart is meant to provide structure and tasks being randomly sorted takes a lot of this structure away. Default sorting should be by start date first and end date next, but ideally tasks can also be re-sorted manually.

I fully agree @Jef Vanlaer . How to imagine randomly sorted tasks in a place where all is done to be structured. That does not make any sense.
+1 for @Jef Vanlaer proposals :

MUST HAVE : Default sorting by start date,

NICE TO HAVE : possibility to manually re-order

I agree with the above:

MUST HAVE : Default sorting by start date,

NICE TO HAVE : possibility to manually re-order

Curious how this critical functionality hasn’t been delivered in 4 years? This is a terrible customer and user experience.
