HA Success Plan Unsaved Rich Text Fields Warning

Agreed. Very frustrating for many of our users. Please consider a warning message if the save button hasn’t been clicked

I lost quite a bit of content on two success plans just yesterday because of not saving. In particular with longer Plan Info sections, the “Save” button ends up being beneath the fold on the page.. so it is not obvious at all that saving is necessary prior to tabbing away. It is especially frustrating that even tabbing between pages of the success plan causes all work to be lost without saving. I often need to toggle between Plan Info and Objectives to do my work. A couple of options that would help avoid losing important work:

• Auto-save of Rich Text Fields. (This would be the ideal)
• Rich Text Fields in success plans persist when tabbing between pages and back within the success plan
• Move the “Save” button to the top of the Plan Info section rather than at the bottom. This will make it more obvious that saving is necessary when editing the Rich Text Field. (This may be the quickest easy improvement that would make a quick impact)
• A warning Pop-up when tabbing away or leaving Plan Info without saving

User Story:

As a success manager, I need the work I put into the Plan Info of my Success Plans to not be at risk of being wiped out by forgetting to save.
 

Context:

The current functionality feels like Word in the early 2000’s where I would often get frustrated and throw my mouse because all the work I put in was lost when the app or computer would crash without saving. Without this added, I am more likely to create my Success Plans OUTSIDE of Gainsight first (we don’t want to drive that kind of behavior) in a word processor and then copy it into the plan info so that my work can be better organized and not at risk of being lost.

Thank you for the feedback. We understand the challenge when simultaneously editing multiple RTE fields. Though not part of immediate roadmap we are evaluating solutions to address the challenge.
