Horizon Rule Migration Tool Part 2
I realize this tool has a shelf life so I don’t imagine lots of dev time will be allocated to it, but a few other observations that would be great:
- Allow to re-run a migration of a failed rule from the logs screen. I generally had a couple of rule screens open so once I started a migration I could edit the rule and save it. Would be nice to just re-run if you have the migration logs already open.
- Sorting by column header in migration logs (any column) appears to just blank out all the records and you have to refresh to see the history again.
- Would be nice to have some way to report or filter on this:
- You can migrate the same rule (even successfully) multiple times. Unless you’re feeling adventurous and migrating all your rules at once, it might be hard to keep track if you’ve migrated all your rules or not, especially if some need re-running.
One general request would be that prior to any hard cutoff where Bionic rules vanish from our collective instances, would be to get a readout on any Bionic rules that haven’t been migrated. Likely those were manually rebuilt or not needed but again, it would be awful to have a rule you missed, or were waiting on, to migrate and you didn’t realize it until it was shut off and deleted and things started breaking.
