This was also an issue in Bionic Rules, and still is in Horizon Rules.  I need to be able to filter for a Multi-select picklist being null.  I can workaround it, but it would be much simpler if I could use IS NULL like I can with other field types.

For what it’s worth - IS NULL or IS NOT NULL is an option in Report Builder for multi-select.

@rakesh I think this status should be “Acknowledged” for the idea? Looks like you set it to Acknowledged a few months ago but now it’s back to NEW IDEA. Maybe something to do with the Community transition?

Overall revamp of everything multi-select picklist is required.

Since we have this available in reports… can this be prioritized?

Wouldn’t it be time to look at this? It’s such a hinderance.

This says it all, so much more than words alone.

+1 this is a big pain point in Rules Engine. Is there any update on this?

I’m back.

This however isn’t solved still.

Considering it’s possible in reports, we needed this about a few years ago.

Rare occurrence of a feature allowing filtering multi picklists on “is null” / “is not null”

We do not want 2-3 more tasks in our designs or rules to tackle this. We do not. We do NOT. We DO NOT.
