Include Data Export for Hosted Articles within PX

It would benefit PX if we could export data for Hosted Articles that were created in Gainsight PX. At the moment we are only able to export data for External Articles. It is expected that this data could be retrieved in the UI from the Analytics section, via data export through an integration like S3, or using our REST API. At the moment, neither of these are an option.

    We are in the same boat. Currently, my team has more than 120 articles hosted in Gainsight PX specifically to use the localization tools. These by far have some of the highest engagement numbers of all of our in-app communications. However, the only way to access this view data is through a very tedious and time-consuming process.

     

    Estimated Files to Export each week: 120

    Estimated time to export and dedupe users from multiple articles: 2 minutes.

    Estimated human-hours spent to identify what users accessed any article each week: 4 hours.

    Chance for human error in copy/paste: medium

    Chance for human error in merge with other data: high

     

    Solution: Add Hosted Articles to the daily AWS export [User Daily Artilce Views] and/or add hosted article to the REST API.

      I’m linking to a couple Community articles that I think are relevant in this discussion.

       

      It’s all about the ability to report on viewers of hosted articles, use hosted articles as audience criteria (similar to in-app engagements), and an external link to guide users to a hosted article via an email, or a link/button in an engagement.
