Currently, only fields of type String and Dropdown are supported for search configuration in Linked Objects setup. It would be beneficial to include the ID data type for the search field configuration as well.
In our case, CSMs aim to link Opportunities to CTAs by searching for account-related opportunities using their ‘Name’ or ‘ID’. However, typing a keyword sometimes results in multiple opportunities, causing confusion in selecting the correct Opportunity. By using the Opportunity ID available from Contract documents, it becomes easier to accurately link the correct Opportunity to a CTA.
