Make a use of Field Description (Data Management)

I was working on a report and was requested to show a small description of what the field means (see the screenshot)

As far as I know it’s not possible to use the “Description” field anywhere except Data Management. 

I think it makes sense to make a use of it and have the possibility of adding this description to the field. 

For example, it will be very useful (especially for end-users) when I’m hovering on a segment and can see what that term mean. 

Also, would be very nice to have this small description in C360 when hovering on a drop-down itself instead of repeating twice the name of the field

      And generally: helper text EVERYWHERE there is a field. 

      The most expensive part of building is the mistakes. That's true in construction. Not so much in CSOps. So ask questions, make mistakes and learn. All views expressed here are my own.

        Mouseover help text is the BEST because it prevents us from having to create/maintain knowledge articles outside of the platform (ie: Confluence, etc) and allows me to update/create new knowledge while I am in the process of making config changes which is super convenient and keeps me from forgetting to go back and do it later.

              I was just tinkering with something here and noticed that field descriptions are not accessible in Horizon rules (possibly Bionic too) - it would be awesome to see a mouseover text containing field descriptions here because it’s arguably where you need that context THE MOST.

               

              The mouseover behavior is present in Report Builder which is awesome.
