Make Custom Events eligible for Product Mapper Backfill

Hey @danielh - I just tested this, and found that you can backfill custom events. I created a custom event (‘readBook’/’Kingdom of Ash’) and triggered it five times before creating a feature with the same event/property combination. I then triggered it three more times. You can see in this Query Builder screenshot that the custom event was tracked a total of eight times, while the feature was only recorded three times. After that, I backfilled the feature. The feature and custom event counts now match, as you can see in this screenshot.

That said, you may still be seeing odd behavior. When you backfilled a feature with a custom event rule, was there an error message specifically barring you from doing so? Or did the feature count not update to match the custom event count? If that’s the case, I wonder if it’s a constraint specific to Desktop, in which case this idea is in the right category. 

Keep in mind that we can’t backfill custom events to a period before they were installed, as PX simply doesn’t have that data. 

@broghanzwack  Thanks for looking into it, but I already have a ticket open and have been told by L2 support that this won't work… hopefully there's something that can be done! If it works for Web app channel, seems like it ought to work for the desktop channel. 🤷‍♂️

Support just reached out again, and they've dug deeper and discovered this is just a bug preventing it from working right now. So I think we can probably close this!
