Modifiable search indexing priority (automated?)
Hi everyone,
I've been noticing that there are a high number of page views for topics that have little or no information and are quite old as well.
I don't know if this is true, but it seems that search crawlers do not or cannot take into account the age of threads when they index.
I have seen that there is a way to prioritise pages for indexing. Might there be a way to automate a priority system based on the age of a thread or replies, reducing the priority of pages over time? That might help alleviate customers being sent to outdated threads.
It would be nice to also have that functionality tied to a thread tag that can be manually applied to force a reduction in a threads priority.
Hopefully I'm not rehashing something that has already been tried/implemented. 😥
