More rule failure notification options (i.e. Partial Success) in Rules Engine

While I think partial success/failure is included in the “failed notification” for rules, things should match between areas. 

You’re definitely right about the partial failures. I’d value the separation of the two — so that I know when things fail and when they really fail

Right now I’m receiving emails for both Partial Success and Failures in the Rules Engine after entering my email into the “On Failure” box. I just want to receive notifications for certain rules that flat out fail. Is this possible? Thanks!

It is in our roadmap to make sure Rules notification also matches what we have in connectors. We are looking to do this post Rules Horizonization coming this quarter. 

While on the topic, I do hear some additional usecases on notification suppressions like - if the number of records in this SFDC fetch is 0, do not send a notification and stop the rule, etc. Can you share any such usecases that you have?

@rakesh unfortunately this wasn’t included in the new release of horizon rules. I came to this idea to upvote because I would also like the ability to distinguish our alerts between partial success vs failure. We have several rules where partial successes are common and expected occurrences. it would be nice to not get alerted for those. unfortunately I can’t just turn off notifications for those individual rules as they are on a rule chain, and once on a rule chain, the notification settings exist on the rule chain itself.

@rakesh @pgeorge any update on this given it didn’t happen when originally planned?

I’m legitimately curious. Why would notification settings for individual rules be locked when a that rule becomes part of a rule chain? I can think of several reasons we’d need to update notifications after a chain is created. Processes change, people change… notifications should be changeable too.
