My Portfolio: Allow Download of Information

Any updates on this idea? We have My Portfolio setup on dashboards instead of GS Home so users are able to download all of the reports they see besides My Portfolio. It would be nice to have parity between all of the reports types shown on dashboards. Also, due to the mass edit feature we mainly use My Portfolio as their main account list, not being able to download it with the fields that they are manually keeping up to date feels like a big miss since that data can’t be easily shared outside of GS with other cross functional teams.

Yes please, for all of the reasons outlined above. 

Have run into this type of request at each company I’ve worked with. Like the others have requested, please make the portfolio customer info exportable without requiring a separate standalone report. 

Yes, our CSMs would also require the ability to download data from the Customers tab on the Gainsight homepage

What’s the status of this? It’s been over 4 years since this was submitted and is a miss and is inconsistent across the platform in functionality that should be rectified.

Hi everyone, thanks for the patience and continued upvotes on this.

I'm actively evaluating this request and want to make sure we build it right.

A few quick questions to help scope this:

1. Scope of download - When you say "My Portfolio," are you referring specifically to the Companies tab, or would you want all three tabs (Companies, Actions, People) included in the export?

2. Format - We're planning to support Excel (.xlsx) as the export format. Does that work, or does anyone have a strong need for CSV as well?

3. First phase proposal - To ship this quickly, we're thinking of an admin-controlled toggle that enables or disables the download option for all users in the org. User-level permissioning would follow in a later phase. Does that work as a starting point?

Happy to hear if there are any constraints that would make the admin-level approach a blocker for your team.
