Need ability to copy events

The lack of recurring event capability is a huge gap, IMO. It renders the Event module useless for us for the most part without constant manual updates.

Have there been any recent updates on duplicating events and / or setting up recurring events? I’ve played around with the Events functionality but it’s not clear to me if either of these enhancements have been released. 

We’re looking to use our Community for customer training webinars (with registration via Zoom) but as we schedule two of these per week we really need the ability to be able to copy events and ideally, set up recurring sessions of the same training.

Hi @Martin B! The functionality of copying events is not yet available, but it is a top candidate for our roadmap. Sharing your use case with us here is much appreciated and will be very useful for us once we dive into solution discovery.

Oh, also, I have some event attendees who would like to RSVP to every future event and not have to go looking to see what’s up next and manually RSVP. 

So that might be a seperate feature…

Is there an idea already open for this - a way for attendees to RSVP to all future events (or event type?)

@Etienne Nichols I can’t speak to the timeline and I don’t see much called out about events in the most recent roadmap update: 

That said, I did participate in a usability feedback session in July. The wireframes they had for event improvements included this feature, as well as many of the other popular improvement ideas for Events, and even some advanced features I haven’t seen as ideas on here. I was very impressed and their wireframes inspired a lot of confidence and excitement.

So, directionally, I’m confident the product team will incorporate this in the future. But as a fellow customer, I have no clue on when we might see that major overhaul of events.

@DannyPancratz Thanks for weighing in! @Etienne Nichols Happy to announce that being able to copy Events is on the near-term roadmap, as well as some other cool improvements! 

About the idea to RSVP to multiple/future events, I haven’t seen that one around yet so feel free to create it, and share some of your use cases in the idea!
