Nested formulas in the MDA

Getting an idea out there that may be beneficial in utilizing one calculated field inside of another calculated field. Using a percentage as a component of another calculated field, for example.

Currently, users are able to create a nested formula within the MDA, but consumption areas such as Reporting and Rules Engine will not pull any data. The ability to use one calculated measure within another calculated measure may be useful for end users in terms of presentable data granularity.

      Our firm would use this.  Our usage data stats are very detailed and the process of having to use rules to load the data into non-calculated fields - it would save us a lot of time.

        This would be super helpful! Right now, the workaround is to use a rule to copy the calculation to a different number field that can be used in the second calculated field.

          Absolutely needed ! The transition fields/transformation rules create unnecessary maintenance overheads. 

          The most expensive part of building is the mistakes. That's true in construction. Not so much in CSOps. So ask questions, make mistakes and learn. All views expressed here are my own.
