I find it odd that there are no email notifications when you need to approve a new post or response. We will be moderating all posts to start with but it means we’re going to have to have the control panel up and watching the pending queue constantly. Please can we get an email notification to alert us to log in?

Hello @lfabbro thank you for your idea. I'm curious to understand your context. Do all topics created require approval? If you are you afraid those email notifications will spam you?

Thanks for you input on this :)

We also need this. We’ve had legitimate posts stuck in Pending for months. Same for Spam content. Moderators should be notified. This is basic community functionality.

This unfounded idea from Insided that notifications will spam moderators needs to be axed. You can always turn the notifications off if there are too many. It’s such a simple solution so stop using this as an excuse for why you are not providing this feature.

It should really be as simple as adding a counter to the Pending queue, just as Spam already has. That way you can immediately see when something is in pending.

I also think that a notification should be sent to the poster once we approve their post so that the poster is informed that the post has been approved and is now published.
