The information about “N replies” that appears next to the name of someone who has commented on a post is confusing, as it seems to be saying that there have been “N replies to this specific comment”, and not “N total replies” from that user.
Perhaps it makes sense to show it only on the user's card that appears when you hover over their image, but not on the comment itself.

      The number of replies you are referring to does indeed refer to the total number of replies a user has across the whole community as that is meta data that relates to user who’s replying.

      The number of replies in each topic is presented in the topic itself next to the number of views, at the very top of the topic, or at the start of the replies section.

      We have no plans to reform this as of yet, but if this is a requirement for your community, perhaps you can hide that element with custom CSS?

        Yes, exactly what you reported. My suggestion is precisely that this point be reviewed for possible change because it causes confusion.

        ​@L.L This is by design and it pertains to the user stats to show their community participation as a whole.

        The total number of replies within each topic is registered in 2 different places as I mentioned.

         

        I will still set this idea to an Open status to gather further voting for now.
