Override the Report filter in the Dashboard for every user

Hey There,

Customer needs an option to override the report filter in the dashboard for every user. Currently we make use of lock button which will be available in the report filter. If you lock the filter it will be applicable to all users viewing the report in the dashboard and not able to make any changes to that report filter in the Dashboard home page.

But we do want the users to have the flexibility to make changes but as an admin I should be able to override their changes whenever required. This could be simply adding a new filter for all.

Karl,
Our use case is when an admin makes an update to a report within the dashboard, the filters remain as the individual user and does not override when the admin makes changes.  We need the ability to either override the filters or at least have the option for users to opt out of the admin updates to filters.  Here is the link that support provided me with and is exactly what we are experiencinghttps://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Reports_and_Dashboards/Admin_Configuration/How_%E2%80%98User_State_Preservation%E2%80%99_works_with_Dashboards .

Thanks for the info.  Does removing and re-adding the report as suggested work for you?

Hi Karl, yes it is a work around for now, but it would be nice to have the ability for us to update the report without having to remove it and it take on the necessary changes
