If an article covers multiple category or sub-category level subjects. Making the content accessible in each knowledge base category.

This would be a game changer for our community. Our different products uses the same features and need to be able to have the same KB guide in multiple categories.

Agree that this will add value. I have KB articles applicable to various products, and by duplicating the same article in two places splits the conversations instead of keeping it all in on place.

Another possibility - publishing shortcuts into different categories in addition to the category where the post/article actually lives. We use KBs to organize content in a structure that’s easy to navigate. Members typically subscribe to community categories where conversations occur. When a new post or article is added to a KB category - or a community category - it would be helpful to choose other categories that will display a shortcut or stub to the actual article.

An example that occurred today - A community member posted a programming challenge in a community space where other members post challenges. We have other community categories for scripting and API programming whose members would be interested in completing these challenges. As it is today, we would need to create two more posts in those community categories to direct users to the challenge.

It would be helpful if, as an admin or a CM, I could add those other categories to the post/article in Control. The platform would then publish shortcuts in those other categories that point to the original post. This would also generate a notification to those subscribed to other categories. Today’s solution would be to create additional posts in the other categories with a link to the actual post, but I’d rather take a out the additional step for users and not skew our stats with posts that are actually pointers.
