Product Parity: Allow searching in merging fields just like when filtering

When doing a merge, could be possible to allow searching just like we do with filters?

The space to display the full name of a field is too small, they are not displayed in alphabetical order, and is not possible to type to search... trying to find the correct field is very frustrating and time consuming: we have to scroll down and hover over each field until we hit the correct one:
