Provide a new Join Option equivalent to Union
Today’s join options include a full outer join, and while the documentation describes the option similar to a union, it is not the true equivalent of a union because it requires an output set that includes all of the columns from both input data sets. I’d like to see a ‘Full Outer Join Union’ option which would retain all rows of both input data sets, but would allow you to store them in the same columns (remove the restriction of unique output column names).
For example:
Dataset 1: Country, City, Home Phone
Dataset 2: Province, Town, Cell Phone
Today’s Union would give me all rows in a dataset that had the following columns:
Country, City, Home Phone, Province, Town, Cell Phone.
What I’d like to do is name the output columns from both input sets to Location, Town, Phone and have the data from each input dataset as rows in this new table with 3 columns.
