With some of our 2026 key initiatives, we have a need to enable field level permissions in Gainsight. As we've been testing field level permissions in our sandbox, we've identified a big issue with this feature. Mainly, the fact that it means only those with superadmin level of access will be able to see any navigation that lives within the 'admin' navigation in Gainsight. For the most part, this is fine, however we do have 2 main use cases that apply to non-admin users who use very key areas of the administration navigation but we absolutely do not want to start handing out superadmin capabilities.

Use Case 1:

Our comms team and primary Journey Orchestrator admins will no longer be able to see Email Validator once we enable field level permissions. This seems like a very logical item that just needs to be moved under Digital Journey instead of Admin.

Use Case 2:

Last year we created a Reports & Dashboard Admin role in order to enable some of our analytics savvy managers and ICs to build their own reports and dashboards for special projects or use cases only relevant to small teams. This has allowed our admin team to focus on the larger/cross functional builds. While it appears that reports and dashboard build lives in the Insights section of the navigation, we found they also need Admin>Analytics>Report Builder and Admin>Analytics>Dashboard Builder in order to access these tools.

This is a bigger concern for us as we want to be able to take advantage of our stakeholders self serving when they can. Our ask is for the product to move 100% of the insights navigation out from Admin...or somehow allow us to give just those admin capabilities needed and not full superadmin access.

Seconding this. I’d been working on a big roles & permissions project last year that had to be put on pause due to some of these same complications. Would be great to be able to have more customizability or variability

+1 on fixing this so that we can delegate access to JO and administration modules while also enabling field level permissions. This is a huge blocker for us.
