Report Builder - Go back to ID being ID and not Name

Can’t seem to find where this change was announced. @anirbandutta someone that could help with that?

I highly agree with this. The amount of annoyance/work it takes for me when creating reports has increased because of this change.

1. I often, as an admin, build reports looking for GSID. The amount of time I need Name field is super low because it is not going on a UI side and is not 100% unique.
2. The name fields you guys chose is often not what we use as column headers so we still have to change things. I.E. You add Name to Call to Action. So the label is now “Call to Action Name”. Well we never use that. We use “CTA”. Company, we don’t use “Company Name” we use “C360”. 

So applying this change has not solved anything for us.

If this was a change on purpose then why create extra work that has to be maintained by multiple product teams? Why not just allow changing of the system field label? This is not used by any backend system. And, the framework is already built out as when we add custom fields to system objects and change the label is doesn’t break anything.

Agree with Wayne on his point B as well. I would also abbreviate Call to Action to CTA, etc.  Appreciate the attempt, but it didn’t solve the issue.
