Rule that compares 2 fields

Hey Team,

 

Speaking with a customer we came across a use case I would like to share here.

 

We are looking at an engagement that they would like to set the audience based on the comparison of 2 fields.

example…. if field x is greater that field y… then user should qualify for the engagement.

 

 

Do we see this as a possibility as a feature request for an upcoming release?

      @michael_sweeney this should go to PX Product ideas.  Personally, I like this enhancement a lot.

       

      Currently, the only way to do something similar is to perform that calculation/comparison outside of PX … in your CRM system, Customer Success, or maybe even Excel … and then feed the result into a new PX User/Account custom attribute field so it can be used in report filters and/or Audience Logic.

        This idea reminds me of https://community.gainsight.com/px-product-ideas-23/percentages-in-dashboard-widgets-38234.  However, I like the idea proposed here, it’s different in that it’s about using the comparison of two fields outside of a dashboard which the linked idea is focused on.

        I agree there’s an overall need to be able to have a calculated field value calculated from two or more fields.  Something like https://mixpanel.com/blog/2011/10/13/introducing-mixpanel-formulas/.
