Save certain Widgets that you configure and design, so you can use them on other pages. 

Love this suggestion, would also add that being able to completely copy a full custom page would be helpful in the same way. We often want to create different pages for different products we offer with the same basic look and feel.

The idea is still relevant to me. Duplicating a custom page is useful, but having to delete everything you don’t need just to reuse a single widget, still feels very cumbersome.

Same. We would like to create a widget that is used on the home page in other places. So we have to recreate it each time. 

Yes! +1. Or simply having the option to duplicate or copy a widget would be great!

• Replicate a community category, like it is possible to duplicate a page
• Duplicate a widget within a same page/homepage
• Copy/Paste a widget (and its settings) to a new page/homepage

Just wondering: does the developer portal cover this idea?

You can pre-set some settings/configuration for a widget but you can't copy settings that have been modified in the layout side, I believe. ​@marekkoszlak 

Thanks for the responses everyone. Before we go further, a few quick questions to help us scope this properly:

1. Which widget types do you find yourself recreating most often and what's the use case behind it? (e.g. promoting your Academy, consistent navigation blocks, branding elements)
2. When you think about reusing a widget, are you looking to quickly duplicate it in the moment and select pages where they should appear, or save it to a library you can pull from anytime?
3. If the latter is true, would you want a change in the saved widget to apply everywhere it's used, or keep each instance independent?
