Shared Success Plans: would it be possible to allow external users the ability to create/edit shared success plan items?

 I have been talking to a customer (ContantSquare) about shared success plans. They wanted to see if it would be possible to allow external users who have success plans shared with them to be granted the ability to edit and possibly create tasks within the success plan.

Is this something that is being considered on the product roadmap, or would granting external users write access present unforseen security concerns?

We also have a need for this functionality, so if it is on the roadmap, that would be great!

Hi @dan_wiegert & @Kate :

Today in NXT when sharing a success plan with customers you can give the permission to edit Objectives / Tasks but they cannot create new objectives/tasks. This is something there on our roadmap but not something that would be available in the next 1-2QTRs.

Also would you be able to share an example of the objectives/tasks that you want customers to create and any additional permissions that are needed ? (Eg can only create tasks but not objectives)

@dan_wiegert changed this to an idea. Thanks!

Our team has several clients wanting to also edit Success Plan information. They are wanting to add things like their own goals, metrics for success, identify potential barriers etc in some of the custom fields we have created. We even have one client feeling so passionately about the ability to independently edit those areas that they are refusing to use our success plans and have built a similar plan in another platform that they are asking us to us. Externally shared Success Plans have been a great tool so far for our team, this would take it to the next level.

Hi Amanda,

Thanks a lot for sharing this. Making success plans more collaborative is something that we will be definitely focusing on.

Quick question, are goals & metrics captured via Objective CTAs for you?

@amanda.wachendorf did you get a chance to view above comments, need your inputs here.

@aditya_marla  and @sai_ram

Our goals and metrics ideally would be captured in the the success plan information vs Objectives. We find that to be a bit cleaner, highlights the importance of them and allows us to leave objectives to act at as action items.

We just started sharing success plans with our customers and the initial response is positive in that this is a great way to collaborate BUT it’s mystifying to them that they’re not able to at least add additional sub-tasks.  Makes for a very clunky collaborative experience where they have to email me or have me do it for them in our meetings.  Great to read that this is being considered - would be awesome to have this added.  :)

Hi @Kenneth

Thank you for raising this feature. External user being able to create objectives and tasks is important to collaboration. As of now, the external user can edit the objectives and tasks but not create them. . There are certain technical challenges here and we are working on alternate solutions. We are bringing out several new enhancements and features for success plans.
