Success Plans are going to be a big part of how we use Gainsight. From speaking to our project manager, there doesn't seem to be a function to upload external documents to your success plan. This would be very beneficial when creating these as the text boxes are quiet limited when entering the description information.

Ideally we would like yo attach an external document which our CSM's can reference when reviewing and editing the Success Plans.

We would find this useful as well. We're currently having the CSM attach via one of the objectives or by going directly to Salesforce.

My CSMs have requested this also. We're working around it by adding a URL field which links to an external doc on Google Drive. It's not very elegant. Chatter is less of a solution as well, since as time goes by, the original document gets further and further down the feed. For docs explicitly related to the Plan, this could be very useful!

Hi Jen,

We are planning to integrate timeline with success plans. This timeline will be specific to a plan and you will be able to upload documents to it.

We would definitely find this useful, as well. Very similar (if not identical) to It would be nice to have the ability to add an image of a given customer's workflow inside of the Customer 360 account page. which identifies a potential use-case (capturing customer's development workflow).

+1 We had a similar ask on another post regrading CTA's and Playbooks - but works the same. We're using one of the suggestions of getting a cloud hosted (DropBox) and sharing out the URL in the Comments section. While it's not as pretty - it's functional.

Hi Nitisha! Is there any additional update to this? Cause that would be awesome! But still like the idea of able to attach a document to a Success Plan - if that particular step requires a document of X to be filled out.

One of my CSx just asked to upload a document to a success plan and it didn’t come naturally to him to create a timeline entry on the SP to be able to add his document. It also felt somewhat natural to upload the document to an objective and not to a generic timeline on the SP. Not a mega urgent one, but +1 from me.

The most expensive part of building is the mistakes. That's true in construction. Not so much in CSOps. So ask questions, make mistakes and learn. All views expressed here are my own.
