For some folks maybe, but our recommendation would be to use Productboard’s Portal, not Ideas. We’ve written previously on why feature voting forums fail
We actually prefer to have user voting stay in inSided so it’s all within the community, but agree that a tighter integration with Productboard would be very useful. There are two key things that our Product Team has asked for:

#1: Votes or comments on an idea automatically get pushed to Productboard as additional insight that automatically links to the correct feature

#2: Status changes in Productboard are automatically synced to inSided as status changes.
I think the Productboard Portal would be used to provide visibility to our product roadmap to community members. However, to alleviate confusion and votes in numerous places, we’d want to stick with inSided for any user actions (submitting, commenting on ideas, and voting for ideas). Then our product team works primarily in Productboard so having a good data flow between the two platforms would be very beneficial.

This is critical for our team. Keeping Product Board and Ideation is sync and helping our product team gain all the necessary information.

The PM team lives on the Product board which is the single source of truth across the org for the features. While the PM team takes great pains to maintain Productboard… it simply becomes untenable to also maintain Community ideas which have a seperate set of States or phases.
We about to begin the Productboard integration, glad that I found this thread, everything above is exactly what I thought the integration would do. I can echo the concerns of my product team having to update the same idea in multiple platforms.

Hi, we’re leaving Productboard now and about to start pushing ideas from our community straight into Jira. We have the same needs mentioned above with regards to Productboard for Jira. Also, it would be useful if:
1. The whole ideation thread were fed to PB/Jira, not just the initial post
2. That product team replies made in Jira could be reflected back in the community upon their choice (Some conversations they might want to keep only in Jira, others are meant for customers and partners to engage in)
3. The product team could change the status of the idea in Jira, and that be reflected back in the community
Has this feature been implemented (syncing Product Board status back to Community)?
