Timeline Activities: Changing the Account

I have read through every other duplicate post on this topic and for 4 years this has been on “roadmap” but never got into a release.

Clearly this is an ask by so many Admins as this is a problem faced by everyone. Restricting changes to Timeline for Admins, is such a bad design idea in the first place.

Im curious to know what is the impact of a topic getting 175+ votes? Community users would feel empowered if there is a standard set for what votes will get a feature ask into the product.

@revathimenon can we please ask someone from Product to respond to this?

Hello @balajibv and others, We understand the disappointment and have prioritized this for scoping in our next quarter. We will be adding the capability to Reparent a timeline activity to a different company or relationship by the author as a first part of the scope and then later will be including granular permissions to allow non authors to also edit certain fields on a timeline activity. 
We will share the timeline once we start and have it in development from our team.

It would really save time for our end users in the long term if this feature was available to them.

Hey everyone, looks like I missed to update this post , but we released the capability to update the company and relationship context back in Q4 ‘24 release. And with the new Edit Permissions for non-owners of activity released in Q1 along with audit logs, makes it even more efficient and powerful. Thanks for your patience and support.
