Currently, in PX, we can create a guide that contains only a badge and tooltip, however, since the badge is always shown on the page, PX doesn't track it. As such, any guide engagements launched using only a badge and tooltip will have no user/engagement performance tracking to reference.

We can push information to our users in-app via badge + tooltip only, but we have zero visibility of user engagement or the performance of these engagements themselves, which leaves much to be desired.  The goal is to not only broadcast information in app, but also to track the engagement and performance. The value of Engagement Performance data speaks for itself and the complete lack of this data for a guide engagement containing only a badge and tooltip is limiting. It would add significant value to be able to track these engagements.

Hi @Molly.McQ , basically you have tried to trigger an engagement with a single step Badge which has its own tooltip. And for such engagements you are not able to get the analytics?

Would you help me understand the use-case for Badge Only engagement because we look at it as an on-demand engagement which helps trigger next steps. It would be great to learn in which cases Badge only engagement are helpful. Today, badge is not considered as a step and hence it is not being tracked. We will re-look at the analytics model here based on the use-cases.

Thanks,

Abhilash

Hi @aharkut, that is correct. Support verified that a badge is technically not considered as step and unless we add another step, such as a dialog, there will be no user/engagement tracking.

As for the use case, we would like to be able to deploy a badge + tooltip with no additional steps so that the badge can call attention to an in-app element, for which the informative tooltip can be viewed and accessed at the users leisure. We’d like to be able to track who viewed the tooltip, and if any associated links within that tooltip, to track the link as well (CTA). We do not want these to be part of a KC Bot, nor do we want any additional dialog/step. We simply want to surface the non-intrusive badge with associated information (tooltip) for the user to access at their leisure, and have the ability to track performance, just like we can for other engagement types.

Thank you,
Molly
