Our team is moving our product update customer comms to the Community which I’m very excited about.
The one thing our Marketing Ops team would like to see are metrics around the automated Product Update Email Notification. So when we post a new product update and an automated system email gets sent to our subscribed customers, our team would like to see:
- Deliverability rate
- Who didn’t receive the email
- Open rate
- Click rate
- Unsubscribe rate
- View a list of people who have subscribed to the Product Updates page

First off, do you mind if I make this title more generic to make sure it captures metrics for all System Emails, as right now it’s only about one specific system email?
Second, our Email Campaigns feature, for which you’ve been enrolled in the closed beta, allows you to send one-off emails to promote events, send a weekly digest or more specifically, do a product update recap of sorts. This feature already offers the email metrics you’ve mentioned per campaign. Have you also considered using this functionality to promote product updates with your community, especially as you’d also be able to reach people that haven’t subscribed to Product Updates?
HI@Sebastian - Feel free to re-title it. For us, because we’re considering moving all Product Update notifications to be inside the Community, that’s the only system emails that we need metrics around. The others would be nice, but no where near as important as the Product Update numbers.
We don’t want to use email campaigns for this since the product updates page is the ideal space for posting updates and sending auto notifications.
Boosting this idea. Would love to be able to track system emails and see the metrics related. Would also be helpful to know if system emails are being opened, clicked on, etc.
