Webhook for Content Helpfulness Responses

My use cases:

  • I’d like to set up an alert for negative content helpfulness votes so that I am immediately aware and can review the content
  • I’d love to gamify completing the content helpfulness survey, a webhook could be the trigger to award points via the API
    • However, I believe I was previously told that these votes are currently anonymous, so that might need to change.

Regardless, it would be good to have the option to monitor content helpfulness activity via custom setups based on webhooks. Otherwise, you’re left to discover negative ratings on periodic reviews of the content analytics.

I thought of another gamification use case for this: Rewarding the authors of helpful content.

With a webhook to identify positive content helpfulness votes, I could trigger the assigning of points to the author of that helpful content.

Helpful content in a knowledge base is a core strategy of community platforms like Insided. Ideally, you’d be able to gamify and reward those who have created the most helpful content. (Likes are one signal, but the content helpfulness tool is a better, more specific signal.)

Even if the author of the votes themselves remains anonymous (current state), a webhook on the submission of a content helpfulness survey would allow gamification rewards on the author’s end.

Even if some of the aspects above aren’t possible without a large effort (I believe I’ve been told that Content Helpfulness votes don’t capture the user who clicked it)…

It would be nice to just have the webhook for when content helpfulness is clicked and what the response was.

Use case: Moderating unhelpful content
