Idea

A widget in which you can enter the Username of a user and it will then highlight this user (e.g. Image, Name, Role, Badges) similar in a way to the Quick Links widget, where you can choose 2 / 3 / 4 users etc to highlight and a couple of display options. 

 

Use Case 

  • In Knowledge Base or a Custom Page for example, for our R&D / Product Team, I might want to introduce the audience visiting that page to some specific staff users who will be engaging in that area of the Community.
  • Being able to add this to an Events page would be useful: meet the hosts / speakers.
  • A Custom Page that recognises contributions (outside Leaderboard ranking) in which I could select users to highlght

Hi ​@Ian Ferguson! Thanks for posting this idea. Wouldn’t you think using quicklinks for this use case would give you a lot more flexible way to do this? Meanwhile, I’ll keep the idea open for more insights.

Yes, what I’m describing is similar to Quick Links, but being able to select a user from a drop down would be a lot easier … Vs having to access a User’s profile image, save it and upload it again.
